Psychology and history

Mila is a young very smart girl, polite and sweet with everyone. Since she was a little girl, she was the favorite child in the family. She has one older brother name Philippe and one older sister name Marie-Ève. She traveled a lot with her family: Spain, Italy, France.Now she is 19 years old. She has a boyfriend, a work and she just finished college. She is a very upset about her future. What does she want to do after college? You have to choose for her. Choice 1: Mila is accepting in the University of Montreal in Psychology. Choice 2: Mila refuse to go to the University. She wants to get money and she begin to search for a job.

Scene 1.

You decided that Mila is accept in The University of Montreal in Psychologie. Mila have a normal life with a lot of study because of her program. What would you choose to happen next? Choice 1: After 8 years in college and a lot of stress, she finally became a psychologist. Choice 2: In the University, she meet a very smart boy name Daniel.

Scene 2.

You decided that Mila became a psychologist. She can finally throw a party and have fun ! Choice 1: Mila is finally pregnant. She already has a husband (the same since the college) and 3 children. Choice 2: Mila is pregnant and she have 3 children. But one of her 3 children got a problem in his child development. Mila take her child to the hospital to see what is happening to her little girl.

Scene 3.

You decide that Mila is finally pregnant! What is happening next? Choice 1: Mila travel every years with all her family. She have several houses all around the world. Choice 2: Mila's little girl have a dissociative disorder and a lot of problems.

Scene 4.

Start again: Mila is happy, she got all that she want. She has a beautiful family, a sweet husband and a great career. She loves to analyse her patient.

Scene 5.

Start again: Mila have a beautiful family, but her little girl died because of her disorder. Mila and her family are very sad about it. They have to consult a psychologist.

Scene 6.

You decided that Mila stay focus on her careers. What is happening next? Choice 1: Mila is very sad because she doesn’t love her job any more. She left her boyfriend and family. She has nobody to talk about her sadness. Choice 2: Mila discovers that she have a big problem: she has a bipolar disorder. This disorder brings severe high and low moods.

Scene 7.

Start again: Mila is very sad, she left her husband and now she is not available to work. She has anxiety problem and she can't concentrate at work. Her mental health is not good because she have intrapsychic conflict ( emotional clash of opposing impulses within oneself).

Scene 8.

Start again: after a few years in a psychiatric hospital, Mila died.

Scene 9.

You decided that Mila meets a sweet guy name Daniel. Daniel want to be a psychologist too, they have several classes together. What is happening next? Choice 1: Mila and Daniel become best friend, but Mila's boyfriend doesn't like him... Choice 2: Mila and Daniel are very close, too close...

Scene 10.

Mila's boyfriend is very jealous of Daniel. Why? Choice 1: Mila and Daniel travel together all around the world. One night, Mila and Daniel got drunk and did something that Mila regret. Choice 2: Mila saw Daniel with her boyfriend.. What are they doing together?

Scene 11.

Start again: Mila's boyfriend murder Daniel! Mila is devastated and Tim (her ex-boyfriend) is in jail.

Scene 12.

Start again: Oh my god! Tim (her boyfriend) and Daniel are kissing each other!

Scene 13.

You decided that Mila and Daniel are too close. What is happening next? Choice 1: Mila cheat on her boyfriend. How she is going to say it to Tim? Choice 2: Mila falls in love for Daniel. Who Mila is going to choose? Tim or Daniel?

Scene 14.

Start again: Mila say to her boyfriend that she cheated on him. He said that he did the same thing and they broke up.

Scene 15.

Start again: Mila chooses Daniel. They got married and have a lot of children!

You decided that Mila found a great job in a coffee shop! What is happening next? Choice 1: Mila went to Europe to become a very successful "barista". Choice 2: Mila's job is not worth it. She have a lot of problem with money...

Scene 25.

You decided that Mila is now in Europe. She is making a lot of money. Choice 1: Mila get married with a European. Choice 2: Mila open a huge coffee shop very famous in Paris!

Scene 26.

Start again: Mila lives now in Paris with her husband and she about to getting pregnant!

Scene 27.

Start again: Mila is a very famous "barista" and everyone want to taste her coffee!

Scene 28.

You decided that Mila's job doesn't pay enough. What is happening next? Choice 1: To get a little bit more money, Mila is sealing drugs. Choice 2: To get a little bit more money, Mila sleeps with several men to have money.

Scene 29.

Start again: Mila got cut by the police. She is now in jail for 3 years.

Scene 30.

Start again: Mila is living now in the street, she doesn't have money, husband or family.

Scene 31.

You decided that Mila doesn't have a job. What is she doing to get a little bit of money? Choice 1: Mila's dad hire her in his financial institution. Choice 2: With the rest of her money Mila decide to travel.

Scene 32.

You decided that Mila is hire in his dad's financial institution. Choice 1: She became the deputy managing director. Choice 2: She discovers that her dad fraud with his financial institution.

Scene 33.

Start again: After Mila became the deputy managing director, she fires her dad to have the financial institution and became the boss.

Scene 34.

Start again: Mila leaves her job and never talk to her dad again.

Scene 35.

You decided that Mila take all her money and travel around the world. What is happening next? Choice 1: In Colombia, she meet a really strange guy name Prince. Choice 2: She went to Africa for humanitarian work.

Scene 36.

Start again: Prince and Mila travel trough time.

Scene 37.

Start again: Mila stay several years in Africa to help poor people. She loves Africa.

Scene 38.

You decided that Mila get dirty money. Choice 1: She fraud money. Choice 2: Mila becomes a member in the hells angels. She is very respected by everyone.

Scene 39.

Mila got a lot of money now. Choice 1: With all the money that she is making, she become a singer. Choice 2: With all the money, she start to change her face with plastic surgery. With all the plastic surgery no one can know that she fraud a lot of money.

Scene 40.

Start again: Mila become the most popular singer in the history!

Scene 41.

Start again: Because of all the plastic surgery, Mila become the most beautiful girl all around the world.

Scene 42.

You decided that Mila becomes a member of the Hells Angels. The chef wants to test her loyalty. She have to choose between 2 choices: Choice 1: Mila has to murder the president of the United States. Choice 2: Mila has to eat 2 pots of poop.

Scene 43.

Start again: She murders the president of the United States and hide in Mexico for 10 years now.

Scene 44.

Start again: Mila refuse this ridiculous challenge and get shot in the head.

A Day in the Life of a Psychologist

A psychologist is a professional who evaluates and studies behavior and mental processes. They evaluate mental health. There are a lot of fields in psychology, a psychologist can work in educational environments as counselors, educators, or researchers. While they teach or conduct research, a psychologist has a private practice. Not a lot of people know that when a psychologist have private practice, that means he is her own boss. For a psychologist, private practice is the goal to achieve. Also, they usually work alone and theirs hours are fixed. Some people think that being a psychologist's request a lot of energy because of the exhausting schedules and emotional demands. But if you tell that to a psychologist, he will respond that is trivial because at the end of the day you can notice that you receive a lot of gratification from helping others and you feel helpful.

If you want to be a psychologist, you must know that you are going to spend many years in school. Doctor of Psychology programs take five to seven years to complete. For the doctoral, you have to complete a dissertation based on original research. Students in Doctor of Psychology programs receive clinical training in several settings. These placements provide direct patient contact that is supervised by a licensed psychologist. A license to practice as a clinical psychologist is required. To have this license, you have to successfully complete a year supervised clinical internship. Some licensing exams are standardized tests, essay or oral exams. The more years you study in psychology, the more options are open to you.

In psychology, there are a lot of schools of thought. One French philosopher named Rene Descartes put human behavior into two classes, involuntary and voluntary. Sigmund Freud, the father of the psychoanalysis mention the unconscious. Because of all the "psychologist" in the past, psychology has grown into many disparate areas. In our society, the demand of psychologist is very high and every year, the number of therapist raise!

As you know, psychology demands a lot of energy and year in school. Because of that, few psychologists leave the field at any moment in their careers. In psychology, there is no place to error, for some people it is intimidating and very strict. But after a few years, when the therapist see changes in the lives of their patients, they begin to love their careers.

3 Reasons to Study in Psychology

There's a lot of very interesting programs in my college. I am a student from Ahuntsic College and my program is psychology in Social Science. I choose psychology because since I was a little girl, I love to analyze people to understand what are in their mind. I can't say that everyone like psychology, but I think that every person should study a minimum about psychology. Why is that so? There are 3 reasons I would suggest studying in my program : you will know a lot more about yourself, it can help you with people and you can help others.

1. You will know a lot more about yourself

First of all, psychology is the study of mind and behavior. Psychology search to understand individuals and groups with principles. Lucky us, we are humain and psychology study how people works ! How wonderful. If you are following me, you can now understand that with my field of study, you can know more about yourself. It can help you personally to understand yourself. For example, you can control some things in your life by understand it and then find a way to solve the problem!

2. Help with people

Second of all, if psychology helps you to know you better, it can help you with other people! If it works on you, it works on everyone. Psychology explore concept like interpersonal relationships, with that you can know more about how to communicate better with others. For example, if you are a shy person, and you don't have a lot of friends, with the psychology you can manipulate people to become your friend! How magic is that? For another example more serious, it happens that we don't understand some reaction of our friends or family, psychology will help you to understand those attitudes.

3. Help others

Third of all, you can help people and we all know that being kind makes others happy. Depending on your interest, you can become a psychologist! There are a lot of choices in psychology, you can help a lot of type of people, people with mental health problems like relationship problems, addiction, learning disabilities, mood disorders. Also, you can help children, teenager, old person and even animal. You can help those king of people with treatments such as therapy, counseling, or medication.
